Tapua Labradors are located in Central West NSW and have been a member of Dogs NSW since 1986.

Our priorities are to breed Labs that will serve their owners and become operational in what ever job they are chosen for. The majority of our puppies are purchased for autism support, PTSD support, Medical alert - epilepsy and diabetes, biosecurity and scent detection. We focus on a balanced, moderate style of Lab who conforms to the breed standard and behaviourally, is an all-rounder. Epitomising the intelligence, loyalty and versatility of this breed. Our dogs have strong retrieval drive, focus and a 'switch off ability' so they can settle and be the gentle loving Labs we all know and love. We have an open kennel policy where we encourage potential puppy buyers to contact us and visit our kennels.

Pete and I have been breeding ANKC registered Labs since under our Tapua Prefix since 2007, I have been breeding ANKC registered Australian Kelpies under the Mimbil Prefix since 1991. We both had professional careers in welfare and we are well aware of the positive impact dogs have on mental health for people living complex lives.

The vast majority of our pups are sold to service homes or organisations that train or breed service dogs and are well known for their ability and temperament.

However our dogs are competitive in the show/obedience and retrieval trial rings as well. Some have competed and won at State and national obedience trials, as well as multiple 1st places at Sydney Royal over the years.

All breeding stock has full Certified DNA Profile covering all known disease, traits, and the 3 colours known to Labradors, our lines do not carry the dilute or long hair genes.

We are most proud of our many service, assistance and scent detection dogs. They are the focus of our breeding program and potential owners of assistance dogs are given priority over companion dogs.
